IUG 2025 Registration open The Innovative Users Group is holding their annual conference at the Marriott Tech Center in Denver, Colorado, March 13 – 15. Register for IUG 2025

Joining IUG: A small investment with a big payoff

The Innovative Users Group (IUG) is a user-led group of people who work at Innovative libraries around the world. In addition to the annual conference, the IUG hosts an active online forum, has local chapters that hold their own regional meetings, engage with Innovative to help shape the future of our solutions via the IUG Member Exclusive Enhancement Program (MEEP), access to IUG presentation materials and more.

The best part? Everyone in a library can join for one modest annual fee, ranging from $110 for small libraries to $220 for library consortia.

Polaris SMS now available ICYMI, new, modern phone alerts via SMS were made available for Polaris libraries this September. Innovative SMS Alerts makes it easy to set up a cloud-based system that integrates with your ILS to send useful text reminders. Learn about SMS Phone Alerts

Give your patrons Dial-a-Story

Libraries interested in Innovative Phone Alerts (voice or SMS) can also add the Dial-a-Story service to their package. Give patrons the option to call in and listen to a children’s story read by a staff member, a podcast, a list of library events, or any other content that you add to the phone line.

Innovative Mobile expands push notifications to include circulation notices Enhanced push notices are currently in testing. These additional notices will add to the current ability to send ad hoc messages, and will include hold pickup notifications, due date reminders, overdue alerts and account expiration. Read more

Pulse of the Library Report

Earlier this year, Clarivate conducted a survey of over 1500 librarians in national, academic and public libraries.

Findings include the fact that over 60% of libraries are evaluating or planning AI integration.
