Sierra 5.6 is Available!
Sierra 5.6 is available now!
Sierra 5.6 is all about bug fixes, and there are a ton*, but here are just a few highlights:
Display volume in Holdings records- The Sierra clients will display the volume information in the holdings (checkin) records for staff to view. This is an enhancement suggested by libraries in Idea Lab, and will make it easier to manage holdings and transfer items between holdings records.
Can connect to mySQL when using Coverage Edit option of Sierra Web - A bug has been fixed where users had not been able to connect to mySQL when attempting to edit coverage in Sierra Web; this is now fixed.
Sending hold cancellation notices - When preparing hold cancellation notices, if the job were limited to a Locations Served or location code, and the cancellation notices queue includes a bib hold, Sierra would give an error and close, and the notices would not be sent. This is now fixed.
