The September Vega Suite Forum brought the Vega LX community together for product updates, accessibility resources, and a look at how customer feedback continues to shape the roadmap. The session focused on accessibility readiness, new Vega Discover capabilities, product enhancements, and opportunities for libraries to get involved in future innovation efforts.
Highlights from the Forum
Accessibility updates across Vega LX:
- VPATs are now available for many Vega LX products, with additional accessibility resources planned.
- Customization guidance is available to help libraries maintain accessible experiences while tailoring their sites.
- New accessibility resources, support channels, and feedback opportunities continue to expand as libraries prepare for upcoming Title II requirements.
Discover Preview is now available to all customers
- Every Vega Discover customer now has access to a Discover Preview environment.
- Staff can safely explore upcoming features and configuration changes before introducing them to patrons.
- Libraries can test capabilities such as Patron Registration, header and footer customizations, and WorldCat Discovery interlibrary loan workflows.
WorldCat Discovery integration enhances interlibrary loan
- Eligible WorldCat Discovery titles can now be surfaced directly within Vega Discover.
- Requests are routed into Sierra and Polaris interlibrary loan workflows for staff review and fulfillment.
- Libraries have flexible controls over request permissions and staff-only workflows.

Patron Registration improvements
- Invisible hCaptcha protection helps reduce automated bot submissions.
- Multiple enhancements improve branch assignment, localization, patron code handling, and form configuration.
Looking Ahead
The forum also highlighted the ongoing importance of customer feedback. Updates to the Vega Program Idea Exchange demonstrated how customer suggestions continue to influence product planning and development. Attendees were encouraged to continue sharing ideas and participating in community conversations.
Another exciting opportunity is the new Public Library AI Advisory Working Group. The group will bring together library professionals and Clarivate product teams to discuss practical AI opportunities and help shape the next generation of AI-enabled library experiences.
