One of Florida’s largest public libraries selects Innovative solutions to modernize operations and enhance patron engagement.
Innovative, from Clarivate, is pleased to announce that Jacksonville Public Library has selected the Polaris Integrated Library System and Vega Discover to support its ongoing commitment to excellent service and community engagement.
The Jacksonville Library serves approximately 870,000 residents of Jacksonville and Duval County with a 300,000 sq. ft. main library and twenty regional, community and neighborhood branch libraries. These extensive physical collections are complemented by a digital library, as well as an array of services that include: a Books by Mail service, a Memory Lab for converting physical media like photos and cassettes to digital formats; laptops to lend to Florida State College at Jacksonville students for a full-term; support for local writers to get their work published and marketed; a Zine collection, and more.
Events hosted by the library cater to all ages, from story times for young children to book clubs for adults, arts laps for middle schoolers, arts for artists of all ages, language learning, cooking classes, gaming, and lectures about local history, to name just a few.
