Innovative, part of Clarivate, is pleased to announce that the Southeast Oklahoma Library System has selected Polaris as their ILS and Vega Discover for their discovery layer.
Since 1967, Southeast Oklahoma Library System (SEOLS) has proudly served the residents of Choctaw, Coal, Haskell, Latimer, Le Flore, McCurtain, and Pittsburg counties—a regional population of nearly 175,000 residents.
“In moving to Polaris and Vega, we anticipate being able to provide better service and improve discoverability in our communities,” said Executive Director Michael Hull. “SEOLS decided it was time to change after more than 20 years with their old vendor. The library system’s migration team thoroughly examined the variety of solutions on the market and after an exhaustive search, it was clear that Innovative offered the best product for the Southeast Oklahoma Library System.”
Polaris provides an intuitive web interface that brings the full power and functionality of the ILS to the web browser with the Leap staff client. Leap can be used on a computer or tablet, freeing staff to connect with patrons and complete tasks wherever it is most convenient—even outside the library walls.
Vega Discover is a full-featured discovery tool that not only delivers premier search results, but also features a patron bookshelf with custom reading lists, patron account management, library-curated and automated smart showcases, and smart showcases on related resources and topics.
Vega Discover is the responsive and accessible discovery module of the Vega Library Experience (LX) suite of patron engagement tools. Vega LX is a cloud-based platform that allows library staff to easily communicate and manage a full range of materials, programs, and services.
Vega LX works seamlessly with ILS solutions Sierra and Polaris. To learn more about the Polaris ILS or the Vega LX platform, visit iii.com or contact Innovative today.
