Innovative, part of Clarivate, is pleased to announce that the Aurora Public Library District in Illinois has selected Vega Discover as their new discovery layer.
The Aurora Public Library District (APLD) began with its first location in 1904 through a gift from Andrew Carnegie. The library has expanded to three locations, a bookmobile service that started in 1953, as well as an Express Center. APLD supports school kids, immigrants, and the Aurora community at large with story times at the library along with a variety of places kids congregate, tutoring, extensive Spanish language resources, classes in arts and crafts, notary service at all locations, and online as well as in-person meeting rooms.
“We want to provide a great online experience to our community to match our great in-person experience, and we’re looking forward to using Vega Discover to deliver that first-class experience,” says Michaela Haberkern, Executive Director.
Vega Discover is the responsive and accessible discovery module of the Vega Library Experience (LX) suite of patron engagement tools. Vega LX is a cloud-based platform that allows library staff to easily communicate and manage a full range of materials, programs, and services.
Vega LX works seamlessly with ILS solutions Sierra and Polaris. To learn more about the Polaris ILS or the Vega LX platform, visit iii.com or contact Innovative today.
