Innovative, part of Clarivate™, is pleased to announce that the Navajo County Library District and Member Libraries in Arizona have selected Polaris as their new Integrated Library System (ILS) and Vega Discover as their new discovery layer.
The Navajo County Library District serves approximately 109,000 residents with fourteen branches throughout Navajo County, including branches in the White Mountain Apache Tribes, Navajo Nation, and Hopi Tribe. In addition to a wide selection of online and physical items to read, listen to, and watch, the Navajo County Library District offers a local history website for Navajo County, unique items to borrow including Launch pads, Playaway’s, and free Culture Passes. The member libraries also offer events that include meetings for a community book club, Tai Chi classes, story times, after school clubs, cooking classes, Minecraft and Lego clubs.
“It was time for us to renew our library system, and Polaris stood out as having everything we were looking for,” says Jennifer Volkert, Library Director. “We want to provide excellent service to our community, and that starts with tools that work for us.”
Polaris provides an intuitive web interface that brings the full power and functionality of the ILS to the web browser. Polaris can be used on a computer or tablet, freeing staff to connect with patrons and complete tasks wherever it is most convenient—even outside the library walls.
The Vega Library Experience (LX) suite offers libraries a unified solution for building ongoing relationships with their community and communicating with users across multiple channels, all while keeping patron data, communication history, and analytics in one place for library staff. The Vega LX suite includes five products that are available today: Discover, Promote, Promote Web, Program, and Innovative Mobile.
Vega LX works seamlessly with ILS solutions Sierra and Polaris. To learn more about the Polaris ILS or the Vega LX platform, visit iii.com or contact Innovative today.
