Surprise Public Library Celebrates a Year of Event Management with Vega™ Program

 

Innovative™, part of Clarivate™, is proud to share that the Surprise Public Library System in Arizona celebrated one year of successful activities and events with the Vega™ Program library event management tool. Library staff has expressed enthusiasm for the integration of Vega Program alongside other modules of the Innovative library marketing suite, including Vega™ Discover, and Vega™ Promote.  

“We love pushing the limits of all three programs and have been thrilled with the results,” said Kelsey Lamphier, Director of Surprise Arts, Culture & Library Department. 

The excitement is palpable, as Vega Program has already proven to be a tremendous asset. Since July 2023, when Surprise Public Library adopted the Vega Program events tool during its transition to a city-operated system, it has provided the community with 1,000+ offerings, attracting more than 28,000 attendees.  

“Vega Program has been a tremendous asset for the Surprise Public Library System. Library staff find the software easy to use and it has improved both our process efficiency and our ability to market our programs,” Kelsey added. 

“Our patrons enjoy the user-friendly interface to find all of our library programs,” she continued. “The ability to manage room reservations has been a major community benefit. Patrons love to quickly see the room availability and easily reserve space online.”  

From popular initiatives like the Summer and Winter Reading programs to unique events such as Touch-a-Truck and the Halloween Tale Trail, the library is a hub for learning, entertainment, and connection. With activities ranging from adult crafts to child fort-making, Surprise Public Library System is committed to providing diverse opportunities for all ages. 

With the consolidation of library branches, including Asante, Hollyhock, and Surprise Regional Library, the City of Surprise has embraced an opportunity to enhance its cultural offerings. The Arts, Culture & Library Department is now positioned to innovate and expand programs that cater to the diverse needs of Surprise residents.

For many library patrons, the ability to quickly check room availability and easily reserve spaces online has been a game-changer.
