Today, we explore key questions about LX Starter for consortia and how consortia libraries can maximize its benefits.

Is it required that all member libraries in consortia use LX starter?
  • No, it is not required. Member libraries can decide whether they want to send notices through LX Starter or not.
What benefits do you have as a member library in a consortium?
  • Each member library can customize notices with its own branding and location-specific details. They can also log in and apply library-specific settings independently, without affecting other member libraries’ configurations.
How can a library consortium get LX Starter?
  • Consortia using Polaris 7.4 or Sierra 6.2+ can install LX Starter by contacting their account manager for more information. We’ve made it easy for consortia to implement LX Starter – not all member libraries need to have it. Implementation for consortia usually takes a couple of weeks and our support team is available to you even after going live.
What specific capabilities does LX Starter provide for library consortia?
  • Consortium administrators can centrally manage access, settings, and configurations while allowing individual libraries to maintain their own branding and custom notices. They can also track email performance metrics across all member libraries, including delivery, open, and click rates.
How does LX Starter support multi-lingual patron communications?
  • LX Starter enables libraries to send notices in a patron’s preferred language, ensuring better communication and accessibility for diverse user communities.

Recently released…

Some of the most important ones on our agenda are increasing the number of language templates and introducing new pickup areas to Polaris, which means matching that option in LX Starter. All releases can be found on our roadmap.

Up next…

Next for LX Starter is Journeys, which will allow each library to further personalize patron experience by introducing patron registration, anniversary and renewal notices. More on this soon!
