EMERYVILLE, Calif. April 13, 2021 – Innovative, a ProQuest company and leading global provider of library software, announced today that Vega Discover, Innovative’s new discovery solution for public libraries, has completed full Hoopla account integration.
With the integration, patrons can directly check out Hoopla items in Vega Discover and view all items on loan, including Hoopla resources, in their Discover patron account. Patrons also have the option to check-in Hoopla items directly through Discover. Vega Discover offers patrons a centralized place to view digital resources and check in or check out those resources without switching between multiple apps or websites. Vega’s modern user interface gives patrons a simple and effortless experience to easily navigate the library.
Vega is developed in partnership with global leading libraries to create a fluid patron experience and it’s being used by libraries across the U.S. The Hoopla integration was specifically prioritized by libraries in the Vega Discover Development Partner program. Development Partners help shape Vega’s development through advisory discussions, usability testing, and beta testing.
Innovative prioritizes building open solutions that integrates with other vendors and third-party applications. Vendor and community collaboration is an important part of building solutions that are successful for libraries. Vega is designed to be open to all integrations and will include a robust set of APIs.
