MELBOURNE, Australia, June 8, 2021 – Innovative, a ProQuest company and leading global provider of library software, is pleased to announce that Sutherland Shire Council’s libraries are the first library system in Australia to select Vega Discover with Vega Connect, and join the Discover Early Access partner program.
Sutherland Shire Council operates eight libraries, serving a community of approximately 230,000 people in the south of Sydney, New South Wales.
As an Early Access partner, Sutherland Shire Council will be able to test Vega Discover and provide feedback on development. They will also work with Innovative on the data migration and implementation process.
In addition to Vega Discover, Sutherland Shire Council will implement Vega Connect, the platform that connects their Sierra ILS to Vega and provides the Vega Universal Messaging Service and Email Design tool. Vega Connect will simplify their current communications workflow across multiple tools into one staff login for managing courtesy notices, patron communications, and database contacts.
