Innovative from Clarivate continues expanding Director’s Day Summits

Innovative, from Clarivate, continues to grow its Director’s Day Summit program, a series of personal, peer-led gatherings designed specifically for public library directors to connect, exchange ideas, and shape the future of library service together.

Built on successful early meetings in Denver and New York City, the program expanded across new locations throughout the year, reinforcing a commitment to thought leadership, listening, and partnership with library leaders. Each Summit brought together a small group of 10–12 directors for one day of agenda-free, director-driven conversation focused on shared challenges, emerging priorities, and the evolving role of libraries in their communities.

“Director’s Day was created to give library leaders the space to talk candidly with peers, share real-world perspectives, and shape conversations around where public libraries are headed,” said Lester Owencroft, VP Product Marketing. “We were encouraged by the level of engagement and the thoughtful dialogue that emerged at each Summit.”

Summits also took place in Ohio and Chicago in 2025. Plans are underway for 2026 Summit dates and locations, including another in Chicago in mid-April. Further details will be announced.
