The Monarch Library System launches Vega Program for their members

Innovative, part of Clarivate™, is pleased to announce that member libraries of the Monarch Library System in Wisconsin are now using Vega Program for their event and room booking management.

The Monarch Library System in Wisconsin includes 32 member libraries in 4 Counties in South -East Wisconsin. Monarch provides shared resources and services to members at consortial prices; an interlibrary delivery service; consulting & leadership in administration, automation and telecommunication; manages the Monarch Catalog and much more. Together the libraries offer 2.25 million items, including books, movies, TV series, video games and audiobooks, ebooks, emagazines, e-audiobooks, databases and library-of-things and more. The wide range of libraries means a wide range of events, such as Free Coffee Fridays at the West Bend Library, Homeschool Art Class at the Lakeview Community Library, creating felt monsters at the Kohler Public Library, a talk on the mystery of bird migration at the Elkhart Lake Public Library, and story times, crafting sessions and book clubs across the library system.

“We’ve been working with Clarivate as their national development partner for Vega Program for consortia, to develop the tools and features that would be conducive to the needs of a large consortium setting, and we sincerely hope our input will prove beneficial to the libraries at large around the world,” says Riti Grover, Director of the Monarch Library System. “The Aggregate Roll-up Calendar and statistical reports are some of the key features that we’re excited to implement.”

Vega Program provides library event information online in an easy-to-access format, but also shows maps to find the correct location for each event, can generate flyers and emails for events, as well as handle registration and payment when applicable. Vega Program also provides an interface for reserving rooms at the library. Features added for library consortia not only make it possible for consortium staff to manage calendars throughout the consortium, but also for community members to view library events for their local branch and throughout the consortium.

Vega Program is part of the Vega Library Experience (LX), a cloud-based platform that allows library staff to easily communicate and manage a full range of materials, programs, and services. To learn more about Vega Program or any solution in the Vega LX suite of solutions, contact us today.
