Imagine your library is running a three-day workshop on how to apply for a job. You need the same room each day, perhaps some equipment, and you want patrons to be able to find the event based on who it is for and how it is delivered. Once it’s over, you also need useful attendance information for reporting.
The August 4 Vega Program release brings several updates to that everyday workflow.
How multi-day booking works
Staff can now reserve the same room across multiple days instead of booking it one day at a time, a capability that had been a frequent customer request. Staff can also book equipment, including resources such as museum passes or Library of Things items.

When setting up the workshop, staff can classify it separately by category, audience and format. Whether it’s a job-search workshop, an art exhibition or a local author event, those classifications can help patrons narrow down what’s relevant to them while giving staff clearer information to work with later.
After the event takes place, attendance is no longer just a number. Staff can create attendance categories with custom labels, such as adults and children, and record those figures separately. Updated statistics pages and spreadsheet reports also provide filtering and breakdowns based on those classifications.
Together, these changes support more of the work surrounding a library program, from reserving the space and helping patrons find the right event to understanding attendance afterward.
Every easier interaction helps shape how patrons experience the library. Vega Program is one part of the broader Vega LX suite, with other modules supporting different moments along that journey. Explore Vega LX to see how the suite can help bring those experiences together.
