MyLibrary! Patron Mobile App Now Available for Polaris Libraries


Modern mobile experience helps Polaris libraries meet patrons where they are

EMERYVILLE, Calif. — Innovative Interfaces, a leading global provider of library automation software, has launched MyLibrary! Release 3.1, which now includes full app functionality for Polaris library partners in addition to Sierra library partners.

The MyLibrary! mobile app, available on iOS and Android, offers patrons an easy-to-use mobile experience for navigating the library, making it as easy for patrons to borrow from the library as it is to text a friend or shop online. Once implemented, the app requires no additional work from library staff to manage, giving libraries the opportunity to improve the patron experience without increasing staff workload.

In the app, patrons can browse collections across multiple libraries in which they belong and instantly reserve or download resources, making it easier for patrons to turn to the library instead of choosing alternatives.

Popular features within MyLibrary! include:

  • Perform a keyword search within the app
  • Scan the ISBN number on any book to find out if it’s available
  • Instantly check out eBooks and eAudiobooks via seamless integration with 3M and Overdrive
  • Use the app in place of a missing library card when checking out items from your local library
  • Review items on hold, fines owed, and patron profile information
