Shorelink Libraries select Polaris and Vega LX to support shared library services across Lower North Shore councils

Clarivate announces that Shorelink Libraries, a cooperative network of public libraries serving Sydney’s Lower North Shore, has selected the Polaris Integrated Library System (ILS) along with the Vega Library Experience (LX) suite to support services across its member councils.

The Shorelink Library Network brings together the libraries of Lane Cove, Mosman, and North Sydney under a shared service model designed to support collaboration, resource sharing, and consistent service delivery across the region. A single library membership provides access to all six Shorelink locations, alongside shared digital resources, catalogue access, and inter-library services.

Supporting a network of this structure requires systems that can operate consistently across multiple councils while maintaining flexibility at the local level. Polaris provides a centralised platform for managing collections, circulation, and patron services across the network, while the Vega LX suite supports discovery, engagement, and communication with library users.

With Vega Discover, Shorelink Libraries will provide a unified catalogue experience across the network, bringing together physical and digital collections in a single interface. Additional Vega LX components, including Vega Mobile, Vega Promote, Vega Program, and Vega Interact SMS, will support communication, program visibility, and patron engagement across all participating libraries.

This selection reflects Shorelink Libraries’ continued focus on maintaining a coordinated, shared library service model that supports both operational efficiency and community access across its member councils.
