City of Moreton Bay Libraries, one of Australia’s largest and fastest-growing public library services, has selected Polaris ILS and Vega LX to modernise and enhance library experiences for staff and customers across the region.
The Libraries have evolved into a dynamic metropolitan library service supporting nearly 500,000 residents across urban, rural, and coastal communities north of Brisbane. Built on the legacy of the former Caboolture, Pine Rivers, and Redcliffe library services, the network today includes 10 branches, mobile library services, extensive digital offerings, and a significant local history collection that captures the story and growth of the region over time.
For the City of Moreton Bay Libraries, the decision reflects a commitment to improving how customers discover collections, engage with programs and events, and connect with library services online, while also simplifying day-to-day workflows for staff. The library wanted to give staff and their patrons better tools to support and strengthen what they already do well.
Their new solutions include Polaris ILS and Vega LX modules, featuring Vega Discover Premium, Vega Promote, Vega Program, Vega Mobile, and Vega Interact SMS. The City of Moreton Bay Libraries selected Polaris and Vega LX for their modern, web-based capabilities, seamless integration with existing systems and equipment, and ability to deliver an enhanced discovery experience for the community. The new platform will also provide staff with streamlined workflows and greater flexibility to support innovation and long-term service growth.
