Innovative™, Part of Clarivate™, is readying to launch additional push notifications for Innovative Mobile, adding account and circulation notices to an already powerful feature. This will allow libraries to reach patrons directly on their mobile screens, keeping pace with today’s world.
The enhanced push notifications are in beta testing now, and are expected to be available by the end of the year.
These additional notices will add to the current ability to send ad hoc messages, and will include hold pickup notifications, due date reminders, overdue alerts and account expiration.

Innovative Mobile libraries on release 2023.1 or later will automatically receive the new feature. Libraries on an older release will need to schedule one more upgrade, and then will start receiving automatic releases after that.

Behind the scenes, Innovative Mobile is a full-service library app with features that range from simplifying online payments and providing low-cost patron self-service options, to supporting digital library cards and self-check features. The app is fully customized to each library’s logo, colors, and layout, to best represent the library, its values, culture, and initiatives, including over 20 language options.
Innovative Mobile works with Sierra and Polaris libraries and includes search integration with Vega Discover for seamless connectivity to the library’s resources and patron accounts.
