Vega Program offers an easy way for patrons to browse events at the library, register with their patron account or as a guest, and review all their event registrations and past events. Vega Discover provides the modern online catalog experience patrons expect, using a simple, intuitive interface and linked data to create an immersive library experience.
Kitchener Public Library consists of a central library located in downtown Kitchener, Ontario, with branch locations throughout the city, serving a population of 200,000. Programs and events are a cornerstone of KPL’s offerings, with a full roster of unique activities to appeal to community members of all ages with varying needs and interests.
According to Lorie Lee, Director of Systems and Performance Outcomes at Kitchener Public Library, the library is excited about how Vega Program streamlines event management for an improved experience among both staff and patrons. Over and over, she’s heard feedback from her team about how intuitive the new system is to use.
She also commended the process leading up to the launch of Vega Program at KPL. “Staff felt heard and supported by the Innovative team throughout the implementation,” she said.
Lee continued, “We are excited for the Discover launch because of the user-friendly design.”
Customers benefit from easier material navigation, she noted, and many have already commented that the catalog is “fun to use” and “more mobile-friendly.”
Vega Program and Vega Discovery are part of the Vega Library Experience (LX) suite of unified solutions built to manage a full range of library programs and services while enhancing daily engagements with patrons, staff, donors, and community members.
